Melbourne, January 31 (SO News/Agency) Spain’s Rafael Nadal made a brilliant comeback after losing two sets to beat Russia’s Daniil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7(5) in a five-set marathon on Sunday. 6-4, 6-4 7-5 to win a record 21st Grand Slam title, Nadal recorded victory over Medvedev in a match that lasted five hours and 24 minutes. has surpassed Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer of Switzerland who have 20 Grand Slam titles to their name.

This is Nadal’s second Australian Open title. He has won this title after a gap of 13 years. He previously won the title for the first time in 2009 after losing in the Melbourne final in 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2019. Spain’s Nadal now has a record of 21-8 in Grand Slam finals.

This is Nadal’s fourth straight win in a Grand Slam final after losing the Melbourne final to Djokovic in 2019.
