Bhatkal, May 20 (SO News) In the 10-over tennis ball cricket tournament “Shah Faisal Trophy” organized by Al-Shama Sports Center at Jamiaabad ground, the organizer Al-Shama Tingan Gundi defeated Muhammadan Sherur by just 12 runs after a tough competition. Defeated and took the trophy. Along with this, the tournament which started from May 5 has successfully concluded on May 18.
In the final match played on Wednesday, Al Shama won the toss and batted first and scored 74 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 10 overs, in which Mansoor scored 23 runs in 13 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, while Rauf scored 18 runs. And Nawaz’s 11 runs are also included. Ayub, Hayat Sheikh and Anfal took one wicket each in the bowling from Muhammadan Sherwar.
Chasing the 75 runs needed to win, Muhammadan Sherwar scored 28 runs for the loss of one wicket in just 3 overs and it looked like Muhammadan Sherwar would win the match with ease. But Al Shama’s bowler Sadiq changed the course of the match by sending three important players to the pavilion without giving any runs in the fourth over of the innings. After him, Ramezne also broke the back of the opposing team by taking 2 wickets. Thus Muhammadan Sherwar was all out for just 62 runs.
Playing for Muhammadan Sherwar, Bhatkal’s famous batsman Nasrullah Askari scored a smoky 16 runs in just 5 balls with 2 sixes and a four, Asghar scored 15 runs and Hayat Sheikh scored 11 runs. Al Shama won the final by 12 runs.
Succeeded in putting up an outstanding performance, Al Shama was awarded a trophy of Rs 33,333 for winning the tournament. While Muhammadan Sherur, who won the second place in the tournament, was given 22,222 rupees along with a trophy.
The tournament, which started on May 5, had to be stopped on May 10 due to heavy rain. It was resumed on May 16 after the rain subsided.
Al Shama’s Sadiq was awarded the Man of the Match award for his excellent bowling.
30 teams participated in the tournament. In which Muhammadan Sharur defeated Noor Sports Munki in the semi-finals and Al-Shama defeated Sahil Nistar in the finals.
In the tournament, Hayat Sheikh of Muhammadan Sherwar was honored as the player of the tournament and the best batsman. Sahil Nastar’s Maarif was awarded the Best Bowler award. The best catcher honor was given to the students of Al Jamia. While the Muhammadan team of Runners Aap Team Sheror was also awarded with the honor of Best Discipline Team.
The final ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Muhammad Shahid Dangi. Abd al-Haadi SM presented the anthem of Al-Shama. Maulvi Atiqur Rahman Dangi Nadvi introduced Al Shama. President of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation Azizul Rehman Ruknuddin Nadvi and Hafat Abdul Qadri Dangi were present as special guests in the final ceremony. Maulana Muhammad Saud Bengali Nadvi, Maulana Ishaq Dangi Nadvi, Muhammad Ali Dangi, Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Bengali, Yusuf Mullah, Muhammad Saleem Alji, Muhammad Siraj Abu, Maulana Ismail Dangi Nadvi etc. were present on the stage. Rehmatullah Osmani, president of Al-Sham, presided over the ceremony.
