According to a report released by Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of International Children’s Day, the children of Occupied Kashmir are the most affected by India’s brutal occupation, as Indian soldiers are killing, arresting and blinding them.

Expressing regret in the report, it has been said that since 1989, more than 17,889 children have become orphans in Occupied Kashmir.

According to the report, Indian army martyred hundreds of children and hundreds of Indian soldiers have lost their sight due to pellet firing. Since January 1989, 915 children have been martyred.

The report said that Indian soldiers arrest innocent children during so-called siege and search operations in the occupied territory and then torture them.

Children in Occupied Kashmir are traumatized for life by seeing their loved ones killed in front of their eyes, which has negative effects on the physical and psychological health of Kashmiri children.

The report also states that “it is time to recognize the atrocities on Kashmiri children by Indian soldiers, the international community should not forget the plight of the children of Occupied Kashmir”.

He said that non-implementation of the international convention on children’s rights in Occupied Kashmir is a question mark on the international conscience.

He further said that the world should take notice of the serious violations of the human rights of Kashmiri children by the Indian Army.
