Ranji Trophy: Bihar’s Shakibul Ghani makes history, first batsman in the world to score a triple century in a debut first-class match

Kolkata, February 18 (SO News/Agency) Today is the second day of Ranji Trophy 2022. Bihar middle order batsman Shakibul Ghani made history today. He became the first batsman in the world to score a triple century in a first-class match. Shakibul Ghani of Bihar played a historic innings of 341 runs off 405 balls in the match being played in Kolkata against Mizoram.

During this time he hit 56 fours and two sixes. 22-year-old Shakib-ul-Ghani was caught out by Iqbal Abdullah. Earlier, the record for most runs in a first-class debut was held by Ajay Rajkumar Rohira. He scored 267 runs in his first match.

This was followed by a partnership of 399 runs between Shakib and Bablu. Bihar declared the innings by scoring 686 runs for the loss of five wickets.
