IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon paid a special visit to OICCI.
According to the details, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon visited the office of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industries (OICCI) Shell House Clifton.
CE/Secretary General Abdul Aleem and member committee OICCI and other participants welcomed the IG Sindh and during the meeting the current situation of law and order including the problems faced by the business community and especially investors from foreign countries. Discussed issues like traffic jams in detail and recommended nomination of focal person for coordinated and stable communication with police.
On this occasion, Secretary General Abdul Aleem said that this organization was established 150 years ago with the aim of protecting foreign investors in Pakistan and strengthening their role in the development of the country’s economy. It is the vision of OICCI to promote cars and give them full support and guidance in this regard.
In his address, IG Sindh said that crimes like street crimes, murders during robbery and drugs are very important and sensitive issues which are being taken seriously by the Sindh Police.
He said that the majority of the accused are users of drugs and other addictive substances.
He said that against street crimes, murders, murders during robbery, buying and selling of drugs, the Sindh Police is moving forward under the strategy and action plan containing modern techniques. will not do and will ensure the elimination of these evils of the society through indiscriminate police action.
He said that not only Sindh province but also other provinces of the country are affected by crime, however, Sindh police is active and engaged day and night in arresting criminal elements, their gangs and patrons within the available resources.
IG Sindh said that all anti-narcotics SSPs are ensuring the implementation of the assigned task under which indiscriminate action is being ensured at the provincial level against the sale and purchase of drugs, Gutka Mawa.
Ghulam Nabi Memon said that comprehensive recommendations containing amendments in the Prohibition of Narcotics Act are also being sent to the Sindh government with the aim of making the existing law more stringent and effective under the prohibition of drugs.
IG Sindh said that the Government of Sindh is providing full support for the upgradation and capacity building of CTD, RRF and Investigation, for which I am grateful to the Government of Sindh.
He said that the use of modern technology has become a necessity in every process of policing. The police is moving forward keeping in mind the importance and usefulness of modern techniques by utilizing all the available resources.
IG Sindh also gave special instructions by appointing AIG Operations Sindh as the focal person to liaise with OICCI and solve their problems.
